Pollution
Pollution is a
serious problem. Pollution can be caused by either natural events or human
activities. An example of natural events causing pollution is a volcanic
eruption. Pollution occurs when substances such as volcanic fumes are emitted
into the air. While pollution caused by human activity are burning fuels, the
disposal waste and farming. When waste that is added to the environment has a
harmful or unpleasant effect on it, we say that pollution has occurred.
Nowadays,
pollution is a serious problem around the world. This is due to a growing world
population and an increasing demand for goods. It is reported that crowded
cities, especially in developing countries, are also the most polluted cities
for example, Jakarta, Rio de Janeiro, New Delhi and Dacca. Pollution is the
problem of developed countries as well, because most of them are industrial
countries. The increasing demand for goods has caused the growth of many
industries, where pollution mostly comes from.
