Presidential Election

Time is running so fast. In 39 days (next July 8, 2009), all Indonesian citizens who have voting rights will vote their next country leader for 2009-2014 leadership periods. On Friday (May 29, 2009) General Election Commission determined three candidates of president and their vice president candidates; these are Mega-Prabowo, SBY-Boediono, and JK-Wiranto. Before determined as presidential candidates, the KPU investigates their wealth first. As a result, prabowo is found as the richest one; he has Rp.1, 579,376,223,359 and $ 7,572,916. In contrast, SBY is the poorest candidate who has only Rp.6, 848,049,611 and $ 246,389. Meanwhile, these three candidates have different amount of campaign fund. JK-Wiranto has only Rp.10, 000,000,000, Mega-Prabowo has Rp.15, 005,000 and SBY-Boediono has Rp.20, 075,000,000.

          Despite having different background of careers, all of them have the same vision and mission for this country. They want to make all the citizens prosperous and to make this country forward (develop). Mega-Prabowo carries 8 program of citizenry prosperity. SBY-Boediono prepares 3 programs such as social prosperity, neat administration and strong democracy. Meanwhile, JK-Wiranto’s program is to improve education, social and economic of society. He wants also this country will be autonomous and be respected by other nations. Basically, their programs are similar each other.

          These three candidates also have already had experience leading this country. It seems they are quite ready to lead this country for the second time. They have enough eligibility to lead this country. Do you think so?
