Love Indonesian Products

We have got more news of what the Indonesian government plans to do to help this country overcome global financial crisis that has been happening since eleven years ago, in 1998. The government states that in order to solve this problem, civil servants should buy local products that the imported ones.

In Government notion, there are around four million civil servants in Indonesia. If they actively consume local products, it can help Indonesia to cover the financial crisis. But the fact shows the difference. Most of them prefer to buy imported products than the local ones.

A presidential decree is expected to be signed soon and it will focus on food, beverages, footwear, clothing, accessories, music and movies. The government takes this step by using domestic products. Because they think that it can help Indonesia avoiding lower productive capacity. And the current administration is committed to producing the domestic industry and that ideally the government sector should be filled with locally made products.
